Our regular office hours are:

• Tuesday – Thursday: 8:15 am – 3:00 pm
• Fridays: 8:15 am – 2 pm

In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call emergency medical services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Dr. Tatelman and they will contact us.

If you have an urgent medical need and need to talk to Dr. Tatelman after our regular hours, please call our office at (650) 528-5110. You will be directed to the appropriate telephone number to reach Dr. Tatelman or the doctor covering for her.

At the office of Dr. Joyce Tatelman, we accept Medicare and most PPO insurance plans. We also accept self-pay patients and most travel insurances.

Insurances Accepted:
United Health Care, most Blue Cross and Blue Shield PPO plans, Aetna, Cigna and HealthNet.

Please contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (650) 528-5110 to find out if we accept your plan. If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, you will need to pay at the time of your visit. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

If Dr. Tatelman suggests a specialist evaluation or diagnostic testing that requires a referral, we will make every effort to provide this for you as soon as possible. Some referrals require insurance preauthorization and cannot be processed immediately.

Dr. Tatelman is affiliated with El Camino Hospital.

Prescriptions and refills for established patients of Dr. Tatelman are best handled during our regular office hours (see above), and the preferred way to request a refill is to have your pharmacy contact our office directly. Refills are generally not issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctor may not have access to all your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
